Survey: Should gay couples be able to adopt children?

I stumbled on a survey done by Yahoo! Taiwan yesterday on their website. The survey lasted for 1 day (9/12~9/13) and asked participants whether they agree that gay couples should be able to adopt children. To participate in the survey, you would need to log into your Yahoo! account. This prevents "flooding" of votes from people who may feel strongly on the topic being surveyed. To my surprise, 62% of participants strongly agree or slightly agree that gay couples should be able to adopt kids, although only 7620 votes were casted. Out of the participants, 70.1% of them are under 30 years old, 83% are single, 57.9% are female, and 62.4% hold a college degree or higher (these statistics are not shown on the graph above). I think although being an Asian country carrying the traditional conservative Chinese "baggage," the majority Taiwanese people are now accepting of the gay community and culture. I wonder what the results would be if the same survey is done on a popular U.S. website. Would the percentage of people agreeing that gay couples should be able to adopt children be higher or lower?

I mentioned above that 70.1% of the participants are under 30 years old. In fact, 13.2% are under 18, which is the legal age to vote in Taiwan. That means there are still 56.9% of people who think gay couples should be able to adopt. That's more than half! Yay for Taiwan!!!!!!!!
