I am NOT gay!

Something has been troubling me for the past few days, and it's making me think that I am not gay! Oh my god I am running in my room, waving my arms in the air! I am looking for things that I can put in my car. No, not just decoration, I want to make a statement. I want to personalize it. I want people to walk by my car and know that it's mine. No stickers or anything that are permanent because I am anal, but I am looking for static (cling) stickers. Right now, my car is just... boring and plain. Gosh I feel like I am letting the gay community down. Help? Help me reaffirm my gayness please!

MBA

Does any of you have an MBA degree? I wonder how beneficial it is to have one these days. It seems like a lot of people have one. I have been thinking about pursuing an MBA degree, but I don't know whether I will be committed enough to finish the program, or whether the degree will make my financial future brighter. I know, for sure, that if I am going to spend 2 years and thousands of dollars on something, it better be worth it. I did take the GMAT yesterday and got a good enough score (I think). At least that's out of my way now. I have to look at schools in my area and see which one has a good balance of tuition cost and program quality. If anyone of you has an MBA degree already, can you let me know how it has changed your life?

Bad Ass Wii

I hope they do make games based on this concept. I love Wii!!

Happy President's Day!

Happy President's Day! The only thing worth celebrating about this holiday is that it's a work holiday. My neck has been killing me in the past week. I think it's due to a combination of doing push-ups without warming up and sleeping wrong. This happens to me pretty frequently, but usually it goes away in a few days. This time, I've had it for over a week, and it's not getting much better. My neck gets stiff especially during the night, and even the slightest movement can trigger some pain and wake me up. I think I am going to see a doctor tomorrow. Should I go see a regular doctor or go to a chiropractor?

So with my neck hurting and lack of sleep, I have been feeling exhausted. This morning, waking up to my neighbor's love making did me in. Their bed made loud squeaky noises, and it constantly banged on the wall. I guess this is what happens when you are married with kids and don't have any time alone with your lover... at least they could have offered me to watch or something so I could fall back to sleep more quickly.

I saw a 22" LCD monitor on sale at Staples yesterday and almost pulled the trigger. I am still using an old bulky Dell CRT monitor that takes up half of the room on my desk. I didn't buy the monitor because my CRT still works and I would feel bad to just retire it. I am also trying to separate my wants from needs and save some money. Can you believe anyone alive today still uses a CRT though? Gosh I feel so outdated.

The shoestring of my right work shoe broke a few days ago. I decided to go to Macy's just now to get a new one. It turned out that they didn't sell any shoestrings, so I got a new pair of shoes instead. This pair is a slip-on made by Stacy Adams. No more shoestrings for me as I am tired of tying my shoes. It was regularly $75 and I got it for $48.

I also got a Perry Ellis corduroy jacket regularly $200 marked down to $58, and an INC sweater regularly $60 marked down to $12.50.

Damn sometimes I just admire myself for being such a good bargain hunter. These clothes also look good together. Now I need to find a party in town tonight to go to.

So much for separating my wants from needs though...

Gay Movies

Recently I saw two gay-themed movies:

The first movie is called Prom Queen. It's based on a true event about a Canadian high school kid, Marc Hall, who wants to go to his prom with his boyfriend. His request is denied by the school board. Some people (friends, media, lawyer) hear about this and offer their help and support. In the end, they take the case all the way up to the Supreme Court. It's a cute movie and at the same time very inspiring. The actor that plays Marc is Aaron Ashmore and he's great in this movie.

Aaron is also playing Jimmy Olsen on the TV show Smallville. And feel free to laugh at me all you want, but I've always thought he's also Bobby Drake (a.k.a. Ice Man) in the X-Men movie series:

Boy was I wrong! Ice Man is actually played by Aaron's twin brother Shawn Ashmore. This was a surprise for me but a nice one, because I began having some fantasies involving both of them. Maybe they should punish me for getting them confused. :-P

The second movie is Naked Boys Singing.

I first thought it's a musical (with a storyline, music, etc.), but it's actually just a show with a bunch of boys singing various song. There is not a main storyline, so it's a little strange. However, the singing isn't bad, and the show is certainly entertaining (the boys are VERY naked). If you are into that sort of things (I mean artistic display of human forms and well-composed and performed melodies), then you should definitely watch this movie.

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Tomorrow, 2/7, is the Chinese New Year. It's the year of rat. My family and friends in Taiwan have 6 days off... bitches. Tonight is New Year's Eve, and it is a tradition that families get together to have a nice dinner together. After dinner, the elders would pass out red envelopes (which contain cash) to the kids. The color red represents celebration, happiness, and good wishes. It is a Chinese legend that the "year-monster" comes out during the Chinese New Year and kidnaps children. Therefore the elders give cash to children so they can bribe the monster and not be kidnapped. I demand you all out there that are over 25 (my age) to give me red envelopes.

The Year Of The Rat:

1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2030

People born in the Year of the Rat are noted for their charm and attraction for the opposite sex. They work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. They are basically thrifty with money. Rat people are easily angered and love to gossip. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful. They are most compatible with people born in the years of the Dragon, Monkey, and Ox
